Stockton's mayor race: Patti, Fugazi take early leads in mayoral race

Polls close at 8 p.m. and the results for the Stockton mayor's race will follow soon after.

STOCKTON, Calif. — Tom Patti and Christina Fugazi took the early lead in the race to be Stockton's next mayor, but there's still many votes to be counted.

In the 2024 election, there's six new faces running to take current Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln's seat on the dais. Mayor Lincoln is not among the candidates as he makes a run for Congress.

The mayoral race could be decided March 5 if any candidate receives more than 50% of the vote. If not, the top two candidates will advance to the November general election.

The initial results come from vote-by-mail ballots received through March 2. Then, updates will come every two hours until all in-person ballots from Election Day are counted.

Following election day, updates will come in on Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 7 p.m. for updates. This will continue until every vote is counted.
