SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Roseville-based development company Taylor Builders plans to build 1,163 units of housing near South Sacramento's Delta Shores shopping center.
A company spokesperson confirmed to ABC10 they aim to develop 377 single-family homes, 73 condominiums and 711 apartments.
"We are on track, currently working with the city of Sacramento planning and building staff on permits after a unanimous approval by the Sacramento city council, to break ground later this year," said Isabel Domeyko Taylor. "The project also includes a commercial mixed use site 6.1 acres in size, which we plan to develop for neighborhood commercial uses."
At least 198 of the units have to be affordable rentals.

Taylor Builders has additional housing developments in Sacramento and nearby cities like Antelope, Dixon, Lincoln and Roseville.
"This project would not have happened this quickly if not for the city of Sacramento and regional partners who have helped streamline the approval process for projects like Stone Beetland," said Taylor said. "The thoughtfully designed bike and pedestrian system along with central commercial uses and a transit stop will make this project very livable."
