Student arrested in Sheldon High School stabbing

Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies located and arrested a 17-year-old student in connection with the stabbing.

A student was arrested Monday night in connection with the stabbing of another student at Sheldon High School, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

On Monday at approximately 1:30 p.m., the sheriff’s department received a call from a residence near the school regarding was a 16-year-old male who arrived at the home bleeding from a stab wound.

Once a deputy school resource officer arrived at the scene, it was determined that the victim was a student at Sheldon High School, and the stabbing occurred in a bathroom on campus, according to the sheriff's department.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Later that evening, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies located and arrested a 17-year-old student in connection with the stabbing.

The suspect was booked into Sacramento County Juvenile Hall.
