YUBA CITY, Calif. — A Yuba City woman is facing a murder charge after a deadly crash in late January.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4 p.m. Jan. 27 on South George Washington Boulevard.
CHP says 38-year-old Adrienne Maloney was driving northbound when she crossed into the southbound lane and hit another driver head-on.
The passenger in the car Maloney hit, 53-year-old Christine Myers, died from her injuries in the crash.
Maloney was arrested Jan. 27 and appeared in court for her arraignment Jan. 30 at which time District Attorney Jennifer Dupré asked the court to change her bail status due to Maloney being a ‘danger to the public.’
Maloney is now being held without bail and is due to appear in court Feb. 26 for a continued arraignment.
