The sheriff's office says Nigel Patterson, Michael Lambert and Kyle McBride, all of Sacramento, were arrested in connection with the robbery.

SACRAMENTO, California — Three men were arrested in connection with a South Sacramento robbery that sent a woman to the hospital with a major back injury.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the S.F Asian Supermarket near Stockton Boulevard and 65th Street for a reported robbery in the parking lot March 28.

Deputies say the victim was walking back to her car after shopping and was attacked by two suspects who took her purse.

The suspects got into a car and drove away, but the woman was hospitalized with what deputies described as major injuries to her spinal cord.

The sheriff's office said Thursday that Nigel Patterson, Michael Lambert and Kyle McBride, all of Sacramento, were arrested in connection with the robbery.
