TRACY, Calif. — A man wanted for stalking and burglary was arrested Saturday after leading officers on a chase.
According to a news release from the Tracy Police Department, it started around 8 a.m. Saturday when officers responded to a Flock license plate reader hit on a car driven by a burglary suspect.
Police say the man, who they did not identify, was allegedly armed with a knife and made threats he would force officers to shoot him.
Officers tried to stop the driver on Schulte Road near Tracy Boulevard but he didn’t stop and a chase began. Police say the man tried to ram a marked patrol car but was unsuccessful.
The driver was later detained by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office/Dublin Police where he is being held.
