TRACY, Calif. — A Tracy man was convicted of murder after a deadly shooting in June 2023.
According to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, a jury found 34-year-old Leopoldo Coria guilty of second-degree murder with a gun enhancement. He now faces 40 years to life in prison.
The district attorney’s office says the conviction is the result of a June 23, 2023, deadly shooting.
Prosecutors say the victim, Joseph Valles, was walking down the street when he was confronted by Coria and a minor. Valles was ultimately shot by Coria.
