Tracy man killed in ATV accident

Witnesses told police the man driving the ATV ran into a metal cable on railroad tracks.

TRACY, Calif. — A Tracy man was killed Saturday night in an ATV accident.

According to the Tracy Police Department, it happened around 8 p.m. on the railroad tracks near Chrisman and Brichetto roads.

Witnesses told police the man driving the ATV hit a metal cable causing his injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving measures from first responders.

The man has not yet been identified. It’s unclear what caused the accident, and police didn’t indicate if drugs or alcohol are suspected.
