Tracy man killed in motorcycle accident

CHP says he went off the road and collided with a tree stump.

STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. — A motorcyclist from Tracy died Saturday night in a solo-vehicle accident.

According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 8:45 p.m. near Shiloh Road, south of Paradise Road.

The person who called CHP was the victim’s friend and officers narrowed down the location of the crash by pinging his phone number.

Upon arrival, officers found the 35-year-old motorcyclist dead.

CHP says its preliminary investigation found the man was going south when he went off the road and collided with a tree stump. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

CHP says it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
