Tracy student hospitalized after being hit by vehicle near high school

Police say the student suffered major injuries from the crash

TRACY, Calif. — A high school student in Tracy was hurt after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon, according to police. 

Police said the student was hit after 4 p.m. near John C. Kimball High School in the area of South Lammers Road and Jaguar Run. 

The student was taken to the hospital to be treated for major injuries. 

The driver involved in the crash remained on scene and cooperated with officers, police said.
