Man, 17-year-old arrested in deadly Lodi shooting

The two suspects were arrested in Jackson.

LODI, Calif. — A man and a teen are in custody after a deadly shooting early Monday morning in Lodi.

According to the Lodi Police Department, it happened just before 5 a.m. on the 100 block of Pine Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 28-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say detectives identified two suspects, 18-year-old Gregory Kranich and an unnamed 17-year-old boy, and located them in Jackson. Investigators served a search warrant around 3 a.m. Tuesday, and the two were arrested.

Police say Kranich was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of homicide and conspiracy. The teen was booked at Juvenile Hall.

Investigators say the shooting appears to be gang-related, and they don’t believe there are any outstanding suspects.
