KNEELAND, Calif. — Two people died in a small plane crash in Humboldt County Tuesday, according to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office.
The names of the two people haven't been released. Cal Fire said the two people worked for Amentum Services, a contractor who works with Cal Fire, as reported by ABC7 in Redding.
According to the FAA, a single-engine Cessna 206 took off from Sacramento McClellan Airport. The NTSB said it crashed north of the Kneeland Airport around 11:05 a.m.
The crash started a small vegetation fire, according to Cal Fire.
The cause of the crash hasn't been released. The NTSB is investigating the crash.
