Two suspects arrested in homicide investigation of South Sacramento woman

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office announced Traydeon Jamarr Holmes and Monique Renee Moore were arrested in connection to the crime.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two suspects are behind bars in connection to a homicide investigation in South Sacramento.

Fire crews responded to reports of an unresponsive woman inside her home in the area of Casa Grande Way and 53rd Avenue around noon Friday, according to officials.

The cousin of the victim identified her as Cynthia Frazier, a mother of four.

Officials say a 30-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Once taken to the coroner, she was found to have a gunshot wound, turning the case from a suspicious death to a homicide that the sheriff's office took over.

Saturday, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office announced Traydeon Jamarr Holmes and Monique Renee Moore were arrested in connection to the crime.

Both Holmes and Moore were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on murder charges and are scheduled to appear in court March 7.
