VACAVILLE, Calif. — Police are trying to track down a car that hit a man and his dog in Vacaville Monday night.

According to Vacaville Police Department, a 73-year-old and his dog, Snowman, were hit by a car while in the crosswalk at Browns Valley Road and Vacavalley Parkway. It was reported around 9:15 p.m.

The man was thrown onto the roadway, but Snowman appeared to have been dragged under the car before escaping, according to police.
