Roads, businesses reopen after police investigation into suspicious package | Update

All businesses on the east side of Peabody Road have been temporarily evacuated as part of safety precautions.

Roads and businesses have reopened following police investigation into a suspicious package in Vacaville Wednesday.

Officials described the package as a type of box, but there was nothing dangerous inside.

Several Vacaville businesses have been evacuated Wednesday as police investigate a suspicious package.

The Vacaville Police Department got a call around 11 a.m. for a suspicious package at a post office at 200 Prairie Court. All businesses on the east side of Peabody Road have been temporarily evacuated as part of safety precautions. It's about 12 business, according to the police department.

Post office employees have also been evacuated, according to police. The Napa County Bomb Squad is at the post office investigating.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspicious package to contact them.
