West Sacramento Fire Engineer dies during training exercise

“Our fire department is heartbroken,” said WSFD Chief Steve Binns. “Engineer Hall loved this City and bravely served to protect our community.”

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A West Sacramento Fire Department (WSFD) employee died Monday morning during a training exercise, according to the department.

A Facebook post from WSFD identified the employee as 59-year-old Fire Engineer Tim Hall, who has been with them for 18 years.

According to the fire department, Hall was a fire investigator, member of the Urban Search and Rescue Task Force and a fire engineer.

“Our fire department is heartbroken,” said WSFD Chief Steve Binns. “Engineer Hall loved this City and bravely served to protect our community.”

Details of the exercise and Hall’s cause of death were not immediately available.
