WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — One woman has died after a being struck by a vehicle in West Sacramento.
According to West Sacramento Police spokesperson Sgt. Eric Angle, the woman was struck by a vehicle in an incident that happened around 8:30 p.m.
She was taken to a local hospital where she later passed away.
Police have closed southbound Jefferson at Stone for the investigation.
The woman has not been identified at this time, however, police did say that she was walking when struck.
The driver who struck the pedestrian pulled over, and, according to police, drugs and alcohol were not a factor.
