Thousands gathered Tuesday at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock for Franklin Graham's Decision America Tour, a series of one-day events in California where the Evangelist urged his followers to vote out those who took God out of government.

Graham, a well-known Christian Evangelist and son of the late Billy Graham, preached the idea to his followers that California is in trouble and needs prayers.

Graham says he's focusing on the smaller cities in California, "because you have a bigger impact, I think going to the smaller cities," he told ABC10. "I think it's important. Everyone wants to go to the bigger cities, but this is where I believe true California is. California is more conservative than people think it is."

Graham, an avid supporter of President Donald Trump, said that God is the answer to take back California, and he encouraged the masses to vote and get into government.

"We need God," Franklin Graham said. "Our politicians especially here in California have taken God out of government, and the problems are increasing in California."

Some of his followers believe that prayers are needed.

"You gotta pray about these people," said Mike Marbona. "With their mindset, you want them to be pure."

Graham will make stops in Santa Clara and Berkeley by the end of the week. He will also be holding a Pacific Northwest tour later this summer.
