SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State is extending its fall 2024 admission and intent-to-enroll deadlines to ensure equal opportunities for all potential students.
President Luke Wood said Thursday the fall 2024 admission application deadline for non-impacted undergraduate programs has been pushed back to May 1.
The deadline for admitted students to submit their intent to register for the fall semester has been pushed back to June 1. Three factors influenced Sac State's decision, said Wood, including:
- Significant Department of Education delays in processing this year's FAFSA form created financial uncertainties for students and their families.
- Sac State launched two first-in-the-nation programs, the Black Honors College and Combat U, which is receiving interest from incoming and perspective students.
- New strategic initiatives from Sacramento State include enrollment goals focused on former foster youth, community college transfer students, Indigenous students and out-of-state students.
