State corrections officials and Nevada County Sheriff's deputies are looking for Arnel Arienda who left the Washington Ridge Conservation Camp Friday evening.

NEVADA CITY, Calif. — 9:30 p.m. update: The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says Arnel T. Arienda was arrested without incident around 8:25 p.m. Friday in Nevada City. His case will be brought to the district attorney for possible escape charges.

Original story: Law enforcement agencies said Saturday that officers are looking for an inmate who left a Cal Fire facility in Nevada County Friday evening.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said Arnel Arienda was first discovered missing during a head count at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

A CDCR news release said he walked away from the Washington Ridge Conservation Camp in Nevada City.

Arienda, 45, is described as having black hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet, five inches tall and weighing 183 points.  The Nevada County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that he was wearing either gray or orange clothing. CDCR said he was last seen wearing an orange shirt and pants.
