WOODLAND, Calif. — Crews are working to get a handle on a grass fire burning along Interstate 5 on the northside of Woodland.
The fire flared up near I-5 and State Road 113. Several fire engines have been requested at the scene. According to the Woodland Fire Department, the fire has burned approximately 10 acres of land.
The right lane on southbound I-5, north of East Street, was temporarily closed due to the flames, Caltrans tweeted. The lane was re-opened around 4:45 p.m.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
