EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. — The man accused of starting the Crozier Fire in El Dorado County is now in custody.
According to Cal Fire’s Amador-El Dorado Unit, deputies arrested 48-year-old Jason Robinette of Placerville on Monday.
The fire started in the early morning hours of Aug. 6 and burned nearly 2,000 acres in El Dorado County.
Cal Fire says investigators found the fire was intentionally set and a warrant was issued by Cal Fire Law Enforcement.
Cal Fire says it’s made 91 arson-related arrests between the start of 2024 and the end of August.
