Grubbs Fire in Butte County: Evacuation warnings lifted

The Grubbs Fire is burning in Butte County

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — All evacuations were eventually lifted after a wildfire sparked in Palermo Wednesday afternoon.

The so-called Grubbs Fire was reported in the area of Grubbs Road and Brollier Way in Palermo, according to the National Interagency Fire Center map.

The fire grew to about 10 acres.

WILDFIRE PREPS

If you live in a wildfire-prone zone, Cal Fire suggests creating a defensible space around your home. Defensible space is an area around a building in which vegetation and other debris are completely cleared. At least 100 feet is recommended.
