WINTERS, Calif. — A wildfire, the Quail Fire, is burning west of Winters in Solano County, burning about 1,800 acres.
June 9 update:
- The Quail Fire is 75% contained and has been held to just 1,837 acres burned.
7:30 a.m. update:
- The Quail Fire is 50% contained and has burned 1,837 acres.
4:45 p.m. update:
- The Quail Fire is 40% contained and has burned about 1,800 acres.
4:15 p.m. update:
- Mandatory and Advisory evacuations for the Quail Fire have been lifted.
- Only residents are allowed through the checkpoint area. Resident must show ID.
- PG&E has restored power to all but a handful of homes.
8 a.m. update:
- 10% containment
- Three structures burned
- Although there are windy conditions, a Paul Lowenthal, a member of the Santa Rose North Bay Incident Team, said they were able to get a good fire line and firefighters "in and around homes."
11:30 p.m. update:
- Two structures were destroyed by the fire, CalFire reports.
- Evacuations are for Quail Canyon Road from Pleasants Valley Road to Highway 128.
11:02 p.m. update:
- The fire is moving from west to east, Paul Lowenthal of the Santa Rosa Fire Department told ABC10. He said the focus is on containing the fire and getting more resources into the area.
- 80 properties have been evacuated.
- Winds have diminished from a peak of 39 mph nearby in Fairfield, ABC10 meteorologist Tracy Humphrey said. Overnight the winds in the area should be about 10 mph.
9:00 p.m. update:
- Cal Fire reports the fire is now at more than 1,200 acres, doubling in size from the last update at 7:48 p.m. It is 5% contained.

8:35 p.m. update:
- Cal Fire reports the fire has grown to 600 acres.
- The Red Cross has opened an evacuation center at the 3 Rivers Community Center, 1100 Alamo Drive, in Vacaville for the Quail Fire.
8:05 p.m. update:
- The fire has burned 500 acres without any containment, the West Plainfield Fire department said.
- The Olive School Road area is being evacuated, Winters Police said.

The latest as of 7 p.m.:
- 100 structures are threatened and Pleasants Valley Road is closed, according to Cal Fire.
- Lagoon Valley Park is being used as a staging area. Vacaville Police say to avoid the area.
- Winters Community Center is being used as an evacuation center, according to Winters Police.

A wildfire is burning outside Winters in Solano County.
Cal Fire said in a tweet that fire is off of Quail Canyon Road and Pleasants Valley Road and has burned 150 acres.
A representative with the Vacaville Fire Department told ABC10 that 80 homes are threatened.
The Solana County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that a mandatory evacuation is underway for the area around Quail Canyon Rd. and Pleasants Valley Rd.
