Map | When and where PG&E plans to shut off the power on Nov. 20

PG&E said it plans to turn off the power for thousands of people in several counties on the morning of Nov. 20.

SAN FRANCISCO — On Wednesday, PG&E said it shut off the power for customers in 15 counties starting as early as 7 a.m.

The power was expected to go out for roughly 150,000 customers, but PG&E announced around noon that they would not turn off the power for 83,000 in El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sierra, Yuba and the western portion of Sonoma counties.

PG&E spokesperson said the company estimated to turn off the power for the following counties at the following times:

  • Starting at 6 a.m.: Colusa, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, Sonoma and Yolo counties
  • Starting at 8 a.m.: Glenn County
  • Starting at 9 a.m.: Shasta and Tehama counties

PG&E said they are now monitoring whether they will shut off power for Butte, Plumas and a portion of Yuba counties.

Map information:

Black = expected areas to be without power

Pink = power expected to go out as early as 6 a.m.

Green = 8 a.m.

Blue = 9 a.m.

Purple = To be announced
