Camp Fire: Number of missing down to three, 85 confirmed deaths

To date more than 3,000 individuals have been accounted for.

Almost all of the homes at the Appletree Village mobile home park for seniors were destroyed.

PARADISE, Calif. — According to Butte County officials the number of missing now stands at three people. As of Dec. 10 the number of deaths remains at 85.

Of the 85 fatalities, 31 people have been tentatively identified and 50 have been positively identified.

The remains of the following individuals have been positively identified and families have been notified:

  • Rafaela Andrade, age 84, from Paradise
  • Don Shores, age 70, from Magalia
  • Jean Forsman, age 83, from Magalia

Thousands of homes and businesses when the Camp Fire tore through. The County established buttecountyrecovers.org to serve as one spot to access numerous links for survivors and volunteers.

In a heartwarming Facebook post shared on Sunday, the Paradise Police Officers Association shared nearly 40 images of buildings that survived the flames.
