SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — A woman in a wheelchair died Friday after being hit by a semi-truck in Arden Arcade.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of Fulton and Alta Arden Expressway.
CHP says a man in his 40s was driving the semi-truck and was stopped at a red light on westbound Alta Arden Expressway while a woman in a wheelchair was stopped at a crosswalk.
The woman started to cross and the truck started to make a right turn onto Fulton when it hit her.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash. The woman has not been identified yet.
