YOLO COUNTY, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol said a bicyclist died after being hit by a Jeep Monday morning in Yolo County.
CHP said the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on eastbound Highway 113, just west of County Road 102.
Citing preliminary reports, officials said a bicyclist was traveling on the right shoulder in front of a Jeep traveling on the road and, for unknown reasons, the bicyclist entered the lane of traffic where the collision happened.
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital where they later died.
