WOODLAND, Calif. — Woodland firefighters are fighting a large fire on E. Gibson Road and Country Road 102 and have closed roads in the area while they work.
The Woodland Fire Department says three barns full of hay caught fire Saturday evening. No injuries have been reported and there are no evacuations in the area.
Woodland firefighter Erik Komula says they are letting the fire burn itself out and focusing on minimizing spread to the fields nearby.
Road 102 between E. Gibson Road and Farmers Central Road and westbound Gibson Road are closed while officials work in the area.
Officials say they will be in the area for multiple hours as they fight the fire. The cause is currently unknown.
