WOODLAND, Calif. — A man wanted for a 2020 homicide in Woodland is now in custody after more than four years.

According to the Woodland Police Department, 20-year-old Dennis Jaramillo was arrested around 6 a.m. Tuesday during a law enforcement operation.

Jaramillo was taken to the Yolo County Jail and booked on suspicion of murder and participating in a criminal street gang.

The arrest comes after the shooting death of Isaac Morales on Jan. 9, 2020. Investigators say Jaramillo fled to Mexico but eventually came back to the United States and was in Colusa County.

“We want to thank our allied agencies for their assistance in bringing Jaramillo into custody. We also want to acknowledge and express our sincerest condolences to the Morales family, who have waited patiently for this arrest,” wrote the Woodland Police Department.
