YUBA CITY, Calif. — The Yuba City Police Department is investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a man killed a woman in Yuba City before killing himself at a Reno casino.
According to Yuba City police, officers were called Sunday to an apartment on the 1400 block of Stabler Lane for a welfare check.
Reno police asked for the welfare check after they found a man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a casino.
Yuba City officers entered the apartment and found a woman dead inside. Police are investigating the case as an apparent murder-suicide.
The man and woman have not been identified yet. Their relationship and events leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
