YUBA CITY, Calif. — Yuba and Sutter counties are gearing up for four days of food, music and spectacle at the Yuba-Sutter Fair. The fair returns for its four-day run on June 20.
"We have lots of great attractions, Leapin' Louie, chicken rider, Kids Town America, the Peewee Stampede, musicians from across the nation that are playing on their free stages. And then of course, we have lots of great food... local and out-of-state vendors, as well as a great livestock display to come and enjoy," said Dave Dillabo, CEO of the Yuba Sutter Fair.
Here's what to know for the fair's 2024 run:
What's new at the Yuba-Sutter Fair
There's some new treats at the fair this year, but there's also some things making a comeback. For those who love fair food, you can expect another round of good eats.
"One of the things that we did in 2023 was brought in some new food vendors with a large variety ... that would probably grab the taste of everybody's taste buds. We're trying to do that again this year. We found a lot of real popular ones," Dillabo said.
If you want some hot dogs and burgers, the fair will have plenty of those too.
Outside of the food and carnival, there's also 600 livestock exhibitors and plenty of other spectacles and fun to be had.
"We have lots of just really great entertainers that come out of Las Vegas, stand-up comedians, hypnotists, really great musicians that are on our outdoor stages that are all free everyday for the community," said Dillabo.

How much is it?
The regular cost for entry at the fair goes up to $12 on the day of the fair, but buying now could save you some cash.
The fair has discounts for early-bird sales, but those end June 19.

If you're reading this story after June 19, there's still time to save. Dillabo says there's daily promotions, some of which might get you into the fair for free or at a discounted rate. For full details, click HERE.
Parking for the event is $5, but there's also free parking if you can find a space outside the fairgrounds along the street.
When and where is it?
The Yuba-Sutter Fair takes place at 442 Franklin Avenue in Yuba City. It starts June 20 and runs from 4 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, 12 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 12-11 p.m. Sunday.
The current forecast has temperatures near 100 degrees toward the weekend, but Dillabo says there'll be plenty of ways to stay cool if you head out to the fair.
"We do have a lot of buildings that have air conditioning and cooling centers in them for the public to enjoy as well. If you want to be outside and listen to music, we have a lot of sun shade, we have fans, we have misters setup for those cases where it's maybe going to get a little bit warm for the public," said Dillabo.
