SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — Russia is mourning after the loss of more than 130 people in a terrorist attack at a concert hall in the capitol.
A Russian activist living in the Sacramento area says the attack will make life worse for ordinary people in the country.
Iana Trotsiuk left Russia five years ago to escape political repression. She didn't have relatives at Crocus City Hall, where the attacks happened, but her family knows people who did.
"It's so much pain of people who lost their loved ones, family members," Trotsiuk said.
Russia says it arrested all four of the gunmen and seven alleged accomplices.
The terror group ISIS has claimed responsibility, but Russian President Vladimir Putin has blamed Ukraine.
"They're going to transfer all this pain and aggression of people who got scared, who lost their family members, their beloved... they're going to transfer all this anger towards Ukrainian people again," Trotsiuk said.
Trotsiuk now fears that this tragedy will result in more fear and division in her homeland.
