One of the penguins at SeaWorld Orlando's penguin exhibit doesn't look like the others. She's a little bit, shall we say, bald, and wearing a wetsuit to boot.
The female Adelie penguin, named Wonder Twin, is suffering from feather loss. SeaWorld says that scientists are unsure as to what causes feather loss, but it is something that is seen in wild populations throughout the world.
Regardless of why or how, little Wonder Twin is cold!
Feathers are important for penguins for insulation and keeping warm. So SeaWorld turned to their very own costume department for some help. And what they came up with for the little penguin with patchy feathers is as cute as can be.
