One killed in overnight shooting in Oak Park

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. The name of the victim has not yet been released.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An overnight shooting in Oak Park left one person dead, police said. 

According to a press release by the Sacramento Police Department, around 1:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, officers were called to the 3400 block of 10th Avenue for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim later died from his injuries. 

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
