The El Dorado Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help locating a man they want to question about a fatal stabbing in Cedar Grove.
Detectives tweeted that they were responding to a report of a stabbing in Pollock Pines just before 5 p.m.
No details about the victim have been released.
Deputies are searching for 42-year-old Johnny Ring. They want to question Ring about the stabbing, if you have any information on where to find him, contact the El Dorado Sheriff's Department.
Deputies closed part of Pony Express Trail in Cedar Grove, between Mt. Danaher and Crystal Springs Blvd. while investigators work the scene.
Drivers are asked to use caution in the area and plan alternate routes.
