PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — Voting for the March 5 Presidential Primary Election is already underway in Placer County.
Starting with the March 2024 Presidential Primary Election, Placer County will have vote centers rather than polling places. Paper ballots will be printed on demand to reflect each voter's specific contests and counted on-site. This means people can vote in person at any vote center. Placer County will have 29 vote centers for the presidential primary. Ballots must be received at vote centers by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
The last day people can register to vote in primaries is Feb. 20. People who don't wish to vote in person can vote by mail. Ballots must be placed in drop boxes by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Feb. 27, 2024: Last day to request a ballot by mail – requests require an original signature
