SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — California’s general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024. Your vote will determine national, state and local races, as well as ballot measures. Are you ready to vote? If you're not, don't worry – ABC10 is here to help.
This August, we're launching a voter engagement project to provide the information and resources you need to vote. ABC10 is partnering with community organizations to attend events and gatherings across Sacramento County where we'll survey community members and learn about the questions they have or what type of information they need ahead of the election. We’re focusing on areas with low voter turnout and communities of color.
Based on voter outreach, we'll create content driven by the community to help people navigate elections and voting. We will answer your questions on the online elections page at abc10.com/vote and on-air during regularly scheduled newscasts.
Every election year, voter information can seem daunting, with dense language that can be confusing and difficult to understand. Our goal is to simplify this information and provide nonpartisan, straightforward details that help you vote.
This effort is also part of a grant from the American Press Institute. ABC10's Race and Culture team was awarded the grant to help our newsroom participate in community events, deliver election information and resources, and hear from people about the information they need this election cycle.
