Police are still on the scene, but have broken down their perimeter after unsuccessfully locating the suspect.
There are no longer any major road closures.

The victim who was shot in south Sacramento has died, sheriff's officials said.
SWAT and K9 officers are now "conducting a slow and methodical" search for the homicide suspect. The suspect was last seen running away from the scene armed with a handgun.
Officials are asking residents to stay out of the area and remain inside.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sheriff's deputies are searching Tuesday for a shooting suspect in the south Sacramento, department officials said.
The shooting happened near the 7800 block of Orchard Woods by Gerber and Power Inn roads, Sacramento County Sheriff's officials said.
SWAT and K9 officers are actively searching for the suspect, and officials are asking residents to stay out of the area and remain inside.
Information on the victim was not immediately available.
