Sutter Health Lakeside Hospital begins evacuating patients due to wildfire

14 patients are currently staying at the hospital. All are in the process of evacuating, along with one person in the emergency room.

Sutter Health Lakeside Hospital began evacuating patients due to two wildfires in Mendocino and Lake County, according to a spokesperson.

The hospital received the evacuation order just before 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

14 patients are currently staying at the hospital. All are in the process of evacuating, along with one person in the emergency room.

It is unknown at this time where the patients will go, but the Sutter Health Transfer Center is working to decide where to transfer them.

The fires, referred to as the River and Ranch Fires are both at 2 percent containment as of 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
