Three men were arrested Thursday for conspiring to burglarize evacuated homes around Hidden Valley Lake.
Police said Dyami Gene Connell, 23 of Brisbane, Michael James Jimenez, 28 of Brisbane and David Michael Cesari 23 of San Francisco, were in a white Toyota Tacoma when police pulled the truck over. Upon smelling marijuana, police said the three men were asked to step out of the vehicle. It was then the officer discovered that Cesari was in possession of a loaded 40 caliber pistol.
When police searched the car, they also found masks, gloves, tools, duct tape, zip ties, acetone, lighters, headlamps, flashlights, binoculars, plastic bags and knives.
While all three men denied breaking into any homes, a Napa County sheriff deputy matched the Toyota Tacoma to a truck seen at previous break ins.
Cesari was arrested for possession of burglary tools, entering a closed disaster area, having a concealed unregistered firearm with ammunition, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public and conspiracy to commit a crime. Connell was arrested for possession of burglary tools, entering a closed disaster area and conspiracy to commit a crime and Jimenez was arrested for conspiracy to commit a crime and entering a closed disaster area.
All three men have a bail set at $100,000.
