DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis Aggies will take on Texas A&M-Commerce Lions tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Davis. Both teams are looking to get their first win of the season.

UC Davis Aggies is playing a Southland division team that finished 6th in its conference last season.
Last week the Aggies traveled to Berkley, to compete against the Golden Bears. The Aggies lost 31-13. The game was close in the first half but Cal pulled away with a dominant second half.
Even though the Aggies fell short, linebacker Porter Connors had a stellar night leading things off perfectly for the team. He had a career-high of 13 tackles, a sack, and recovered a fumble for a touchdown.
His performance earned him National Defensive Player of the Week honors from FCS Nation

The Lions came off playing San Diego State a Mountain West team that finished 12th in their conference last season and lost 45-14.
Quarterback Eric Rodriguez started the game at quarterback for the first time since 2022, according to the school. He went 14 for 20, with a touchdown pass, interception and 105 passing yards. He was sacked three times.
