WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Athletics have officially announced game times for the upcoming 2025 season at Sutter Health Park.
The A's will play 60 of their 81 games at night with games starting at 7:05 p.m. The team's 60 night games are tied for the most in a season in franchise history.
The season home opener on March 31 against the Chicago Cubs will have a first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
As for the other 21 home games, they'll take place during the day either at 12:45 p.m. or 1:05 p.m. Eleven of the team's 21 day games will be played in April and May.
The announcement comes after concerns of early start times in the summer due to Sacramento heat in an open air ballpark.
When the calendar turns to the summer months, the team will only play 1:05 p.m. games on Sundays. The only exception is the series against the visiting San Francisco Giants on Fourth of July weekend. From July 4-6, each game will have a start time of 7:05 p.m.
In September, the A's will have four day games, one on a Wednesday, another on a Thursday, and two on Sundays.
The 2025 season will be the first of three years where the A's will share Sutter Health Park with the Sacramento River Cats, the Giants Triple-A affiliate.
The A's will temporary call the West Sacramento ballpark home as they wait for their permanent stadium to be built on the Las Vegas strip. The A's plan to move to Las Vegas in 2028.
During a meeting at the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board, a club executive said A's owner John Fisher and his family will invest $1 billion into the construction of the Las Vegas ballpark, the Associated Press reported.
