Some Sacramento Kings, A's home games to overlap in April

The A's and Sacramento Kings will share three game days during the second week of April.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento will have two major league teams playing during the spring months with the arrival of the Athletics.

The A’s and Kings will share three game days at home in the second week of April on April 9, 11 and 13. That time will serve as the third week of the season for the A’s while the regular season will be winding down for the Kings.

Wednesday, April 9

The A’s will host the San Diego Padres at 12:35 p.m. in the finale of a three-game series. Later that night, the Kings will welcome the Denver Nuggets at 7 p.m.

Friday, April 11

After a day off, the A’s will welcome the New York Mets for a three-game series with the first game slated for a 7:05 p.m. start time. About a mile away, the Kings will be hosting the Los Angeles Clippers at 7 p.m.

Sunday, April 13

Downtown Sacramento and West Sacramento's Bridge District could be filled with sports fans early in the day, as both the A’s and Kings will host day games.

The Kings will host the Phoenix Suns at 12:30 p.m. in their regular season finale while the A’s will conclude a three-game set against the Mets at 1:05 p.m.

Is it possible to watch both teams on the same day?

For those who want to try to make it to an MLB and NBA game on the same day, Golden 1 Center and Sutter Health Park are within one mile from each other.

The easiest route to and from Downtown Commons, where Golden 1 Center is located, and Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento is driving or walking on the Tower Bridge.

Depending on traffic, a drive from the Golden 1 Center and Sutter Health Park is five minutes. For those who don’t drive between venues, it's about a 16-minute walk.

Are tickets available?

Kings tickets are currently available online on the team’s website.

As for A’s tickets, a representative for the team told ABC10 single-game tickets are expected to go on sale in early 2025.

A’s season tickets are on sale now and will be released in phases. The team said current A’s season ticket holders will be notified when seats comparable to their 2024 plan will be available to purchase.

Fans who put down a season ticket deposit will be notified when they can purchase tickets based on priority.
