ROCKLIN, Calif. — Rocklin native Logan Webb was selected for the MLB's All-Star Game. It'll be the pitcher's first appearance as an All Star.
He's one of two players who'll be representing the San Francisco Giants, alongside Heliot Ramos.
"It's an honor. I really don't know what to say. What's even more fun is us, we're killing it right now. It's been fun to watch," Webb told his teammates in a video posted to the Giant's X page.
The Giants recorded the moment Webb and Ramos learned about their selection. It's viewable in the tweet below.
Webb was drafted in 2019 and made his MLB debut in 2019. The Giants currently have a 44-47 win-loss record for the 2024 season.
