SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Kings will take on the Golden State Warriors Tuesday in a win-or-go home game.
Sacramento claimed the 9th seed and will need to win two Play-In games to secure a playoff berth. If they beat the Warriors, they'll face the loser of the clash between the 7th and 8th seeds, either the Los Angeles Lakers or the New Orleans Pelicans.
The game starts at 7 p.m. on TNT. Want to watch the game in person? Find tickets HERE.
Here are five things to know ahead of the game.
1. Dynamic Duo: Domantas Sabonis led the NBA in double-doubles this season with 77. Nobody on the Warriors had more than 10. De'Aaron Fox was 8th in the league in scoring, averaging a career-best 26.6 points per game, above Stephen Curry's 26.4.
2. Spectacular Steph: Curry led last year's playoff series, averaging 33.7 points per game. His 50 points in the deciding game 7 was his playoff career-high. This year he's scored 33, 29, 21, and 41 points in the games against the Kings.
3. Close Calls: The Kings and Warriors split their series this year 2-2. The last 3 games were decided by one point each with the Kings winning two of them. They haven't played each other since January. The Kings split the games played at the Golden 1 Center.
4. Missing Monk: The Kings will be without Malik Monk because of an injury. Monk was key in last year's playoff series averaging 19 points, the second most for the Kings in the series.
5. Underdogs: Not many people are giving the Kings a chance. ESPN surveyed 14 of its basketball analysts and only 1 - Andrew Lopez - picked the Kings.
