SANTA CLARA, Calif. — If you somehow wind up slinging burgers to 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, hold the mustard.
"Brock doesn't like mustard. So if you ever go anywhere, and you put mustard on his hamburger, he won't eat it," said Carrie Purdy, Brock Purdy's mother, told ABC10.
It was a small detail about her son that she shared with ABC10 shortly after the 49ers comeback win in the NFC Championship game.
Carrie Purdy was among the thousands of fans at Levi's Stadium for her son's epic comeback win against the Detroit Lions. Her son, once known as "Mr. Irrelevant" and the last pick of the NFL draft led the 49ers to the NFC title and a showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl.

"It's his second year, and here we are, we're going to the Super Bowl. It's amazing," said Carrie Purdy. "He's just turned 24 years old. And you know what, not because he's mine, but he's a humble down to earth kind person. He loves the Lord. He loves the fans. He loves his coaches. Like he's just a great kid that loves everybody around him and supports him and it's been amazing."
She said seeing her son take the NFC title with the 49ers and punch his ticket to the Super Bowl is among her top five moments for him.
"He's always loved football, and he's one of those kids where 'Hey, Brock, what are you going to do if you don't have a backup plan?' He's like, 'Mom, I'm going to play football,'" said Carrie Purdy.
