Davis native Nyjah Huston heads to 2024 Paris Olympics

DAVIS, Calif. — There are 131 Californian athletes who qualified for and are heading to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games. America's Olympic team, Team U.S.A., includes 10 athletes from the Greater Sacramento region. 

Here’s a look at Olympian skateboarder Nyjah Huston from Davis.

Huston, 29, will compete in Skateboarding during the 2024 Olympics. This is Huston's second Olympic games after placing 7th (Street - Men) at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where the sport debuted at the Olympic level. He started skate boarding at the age of 7.

"Honored to be out there again representing my country," he said in an Instagram post. "Truly a special thing and never to be taken for granted."
