2 hurt, taken to hospital in Sacramento crash

Sacramento Police Department officials say the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on Franklin Boulevard and 36th Avenue.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two people were taken to the hospital after a car crash in Sacramento Friday evening, according to officials.

A spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department says the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on Franklin Boulevard and 36th Avenue. Two cars crashed but it's unclear what else happened. 

One person was taken to the hospital with "significant injuries" and is in critical condition. The other driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Officials are still at the scene investigating. No additional information is available at this time.
