SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — Five people were hurt and taken to the hospital after a crash on Highway 12 in Sacramento County Friday, according to officials.
The River Delta Fire District says the crash happened west of the Mokelumne River Bridge on Hwy. 12. They say two cars were involved and five total people were hurt in the crash.
Three people were taken to the hospital via ambulance but their conditions are unknown at this time. Another was taken to the hospital via helicopter in critical condition. The last person had minor injuries.
The accident closed both sides of Hwy. 12 for multiple hours after 2 p.m. No further information is available at this time.
